Overview
The Lumitec 101845 is a surface-mount LED navigation light for the port side that shows red, with a 2 nautical mile visibility rating for vessels up to 50 m (165 ft) and input power support from 10 to 30 V DC.
It mounts on vertical surfaces when you do not have an inset pocket, using a half-round machined aluminum housing with a brushed finish and an IP67 rating for wet cockpit and washdown areas.
The housing is about 3.63 inches wide and about 2.23 inches tall, and it is meant to be installed so the light is unobstructed and covers the required 112.5 degree arc.
Key features
- Port (red) sidelight output with the required 112.5 degree arc of visibility
- USCG approved 2 nautical mile rating, ABYC A-16:2016 compliant
- 10 to 30 V DC input for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- IP67 sealing for spray and routine washdowns
- Surface-mount form for vertical cabin sides, pilothouse faces, and hardtop supports
- #10-24 threaded mounting holes (0.45 inch deep) for machine-screw fasteners
Installation and setup
Fit it on the port side with the lens oriented so the beam is not blocked by rails, rub rails, canvas, or deck hardware. Keeping the light out of the operator's line of sight also helps avoid glare and reflections at night.
Bedding the mounting surface with marine sealant helps keep water out of the fastener holes on a vertical panel. Route the wiring to a navigation light switch circuit and keep connections in a dry location or in a sealed junction area.
Electrical and system integration
This is a simple two-wire light that runs from the boat's DC supply and does not require any network or control module. Use appropriate overcurrent protection for the wiring run and follow common marine wiring practices.
Compatibility and fit
This light suits boats that need a compact, surface-mounted port sidelight in aluminum, especially refits where cutting a molded pocket is not practical. It works well on center consoles, pilothouses, and sailboats running 12 V or 24 V systems that still need full 2 NM sidelights.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
