Overview
The Simrad 000-16299-001 is a 12-inch NSX 3012UW ultrawide chartplotter and fishfinder display with a 1920 x 720 touchscreen. It runs on 12 V DC (10 to 17 V) with a recommended 3A fuse, and it carries an IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof rating for open helms and washdowns.
The widescreen format gives you room to keep charts, sonar, and instruments on screen without jumping between pages. Wireless connectivity, NMEA 2000, Ethernet, and USB make it easy to tie into the rest of your electronics at the helm.
This version is supplied without a transducer. The unit has an echosounder port for compatible transducers, so you can match the sonar element to your hull type and the water you fish.
Key features
- 12-inch ultrawide touchscreen with 1920 x 720 resolution, >1000 nits brightness, and 85 degree viewing angles

Compatibility and fit
Plan for a dash location with room for the chassis and cabling behind the panel. The display footprint is 337.0 mm wide x 147.9 mm high x 88.5 mm deep (13.30 in x 5.82 in x 3.48 in) without bracket and without sun cover, and the display weight is 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).
Power is 12 V DC only (10 to 17 V input). On 24 V boats, use a regulated DC-DC converter that supplies a stable 12 V feed within the listed range.
Installation and setup
NSX ULTRAWIDE supports rear mounting in the dash, and the rear-mount hardware is intended for a clean helm finish. Leave practical access to the back of the unit for the power, NMEA 2000, Ethernet, USB, and echosounder connections, and give the unit breathing room so heat can leave the console area.
Good cable habits matter in a wet, vibrating environment. Route cables with drip loops, keep connectors out of bilge splash zones, and avoid running data cables tight alongside high-current engine harnesses or radio transmission cables.
Electrical and system integration
The NMEA 2000 port is the usual path for sharing engine data, heading sensors, autopilot information, and other network instruments across the boat. Ethernet supports higher-bandwidth accessories and network sharing between compatible devices, and Wi-Fi can handle wireless integration and syncing where it makes sense at the helm.
If you are adding sonar, pair the unit with a transducer that matches your hull style and your typical depths. Keep in mind this listing is the display only, so transducer selection and mounting are handled separately.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
