Installation and fit
Before cutting, check the available depth behind the mounting surface and confirm the 50.8 mm cutout against the planned location. The low profile makes the DL55 a practical fit for many overhead panels, but clearance for wiring and the fixture body should still be checked on the actual boat.
The 12V DC only input is important for system planning. Boats with 24V house systems will need an appropriate 12V supply arrangement rather than connecting this light directly to 24V.

The DL55 is a good match for owners refitting overhead lighting in cabins, helm stations, cockpit overhangs, and covered exterior areas where a small recessed fixture is preferred over a surface-mounted light.
