Overview

The i2Systems APL-2W-65K-PW41 is an Apeiron A3101Z recessed LED downlight that runs on 9-30V DC and draws 2.5W to produce 6500K cool white light.

It mounts with three screws and a removable bezel, which makes it easier to service later or swap finishes without pulling the whole light. The housing is stainless steel, the trim is brushed nickel with a PVD titanium coating, and the lens is tempered glass with a diffuser for smooth, even output.

This fixture is IP67-rated for wet locations, but it is not intended for submersible installs or any spot where water can sit around the light.

Key features
  • 9-30V DC input for typical 12V and 24V onboard electrical systems.
  • 2.5W white LED with 6500K cool white output for clean task lighting.
  • IP67-rated for wet locations; not rated for submersion or areas with standing water.
  • Screw-mount installation with removable bezel; shallow 1.07 in (27 mm) mounting depth helps in tight overheads.
  • 3.50 in (89 mm) face with a 2.59 in (66 mm) mounting hole; three screw holes on a 3.12 in (79 mm) circle.
  • Stainless steel housing, brushed nickel PVD titanium-coated trim, and a diffused tempered-glass lens.
  • Built-in transient protection and reverse polarity protection.
Compatibility and fit

Confirm you have room for the 2.59 in (66 mm) cutout and the shallow 1.07 in (27 mm) depth behind the mounting surface, plus space for wiring and connectors. The 3.50 in (89 mm) face covers the cutout, and the light fastens through three equally spaced screw holes.

On most boats this ends up under a hardtop, in a pilothouse headliner, or in a cockpit soffit where you want overhead light that reads crisp and cool.

Installation and wiring

The fixture uses 18 in twisted 18 AWG leads. Wire red to DC positive (9-30V), black to common ground, and use the yellow lead only when you are integrating a compatible dimming control. Keep the dim control line within 5V max and insulate any unused control lead so it cannot short.

In damp or exterior locations, keep splices and junctions protected, support the cable so it cannot chafe, and seal penetrations so water cannot migrate into the headliner or wiring cavity.

Electrical and dimming

Plan for about 208 mA per light at 12V DC and about 104 mA per light at 24V DC when sizing circuits. If you are using an i2Systems LightLink dimming module, a single dim line can control multiple fixtures, and the control hardware should be mounted somewhere you can still access for troubleshooting.

Use on board

This is a good match for owners who want a cool-white overhead light for instrument areas, work surfaces, or cleaning up the cockpit after dark. If you are mixing lighting across cabins and lounges, keep in mind that 6500K reads noticeably cooler than warm-white fixtures.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
