Installation and setup
The Gravity light mounts on the surface of the boat structure, so installation is mainly about routing the wire, fastening the housing, and sealing the electrical connection. A small drilled hole is used for the power wire, and the housing is mounted with two screws after the location is measured and prepared. Pre-drilling the screw holes helps keep the mounting surface clean, especially on fiberglass.
The cover plate should be fully seated after the light body is fastened. The light should not be placed in low areas where standing water can collect, and the wiring connection should use a waterproof connector rated for the same wet environment or a properly sealed soldered connection.
Electrical and system integration
Match the selected version to the boat circuit: 12VDC models belong on a 12VDC system, while 24VDC models belong on a 24VDC system. Do not connect the fixture to voltage above 24VDC. The power supply should be constant voltage, and the circuit should be fuse protected as part of normal marine wiring practice.
The included 9 ft tinned copper lead gives the installer useful routing length for hardtop, cockpit side, deck, or cabin installations. Keep splices accessible where practical, and maintain the IP rating of the installation by sealing the wire pass-through and any junction point exposed to spray or washdowns.
