Overview
The Garmin 010-12371-00 is a stainless steel transom-mount kit for the Panoptix PS30 Down transducer. It is the hardware set used to fasten the transducer assembly to the back of the boat and keep it stable in the water when you are idling, cruising, or working a spot with the trolling motor.
Transom installs typically call for a 4 mm (5/32 in.) pilot hole drilled about 15 mm (19/32 in.) deep, with marine sealant on the fasteners to keep the transom watertight. If you are replacing a bent bracket or missing parts, this kit gets you back to a proper transom mount without mixing and matching hardware.
Key features
- Stainless steel transom bracket set sized for the Panoptix PS30 Down transducer
- Mounting hardware included for assembling the bracket and fastening to the transom
- Angle adjustment at the mount to help set the transducer straight down and keep the view consistent
- Works with standard transom installation practices, including sealing fasteners to protect the core on fiberglass transoms
What’s included
- Transom-mount bracket set for Panoptix PS30
- Mounting hardware
Compatibility and fit
This is a specific mount kit for the Panoptix PS30 Down transducer rather than a universal transducer bracket. Before ordering, confirm you are running a PS30 and that you have a clear mounting area on the transom where the transducer can sit below the waterline without being blocked by strakes, intakes, or other fittings that introduce aerated water.
On single-drive boats, keep the mount out of the propeller’s path. On twin-drive boats, transom placement between the drives is commonly used when there is room and the water stays clean.
Installation and setup
Plan the location so the transducer runs in clean, non-turbulent water and sits as close to the centerline as practical. Mark the holes with the bracket in place, drill the pilot holes, then seal the fasteners as you install. On fiberglass, a light countersink through the gelcoat helps reduce the chance of cracking when the screws are tightened.
Route the cable so it is supported and not pinched, and keep it away from high-current wiring when possible to reduce the chance of interference. After the first few trips, recheck fasteners and bracket tension so the transducer stays aligned.
Use on board
This mount kit makes sense for anglers and cruisers running Panoptix PS30 who want a transom install or need to replace damaged mounting parts after trailering, beaching, or an impact. It is also a practical fit for boats where a transom location is preferred over a trolling-motor mount.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the bracket with fresh water after saltwater use and check hardware tightness periodically, especially after long runs in chop. If the mount is removed or adjusted, reseal any fasteners that penetrate the transom to keep water out.
