Overview

The Lumitec 101597 is a navigation light with starboard (green) output that runs on 10 to 30 VDC and meets USCG requirements for 2 nautical mile visibility. It also meets ABYC A-16 navigation lighting standards.

This is the composite, surface-mount style meant for horizontal mounting surfaces when you do not have a molded-in recess. It measures about 2.51 in wide by 2.19 in tall and stands about 0.95 in off the surface, which helps it fit cleanly on a bow cap, gunwale, or hardtop edge.

Install it on the starboard side near the bow and keep the lens clear of obstructions so the required sector is not blocked by rails, the hull, deck structures, or onboard hardware under normal running trim.

Installation and setup

Use the orientation template to keep the starboard unit aligned correctly on the vessel, then pre-drill for #6 tapping screws. Route the power wire through the wire exit hole and seal around the cable with a marine sealant to help keep spray out.

Feed the light from a fused navigation-light circuit and verify the light is not shaded by fixed structures or gear once the boat is loaded and trimmed the way you normally run.
