Overview
The i2Systems APL-2W-30K-PW1 is a round screw-mount LED downlight with warm white (3000K) output and a white finish trim for cabins, cockpits, and other overhead locations on a boat. It draws 2.5W, throws a 90 degree beam, and measures 3.50 inches across with a 1.34 inch mounting depth, which helps when headliner space is tight.
The screw-mount design uses a removable bezel, so you can service the fixture without fighting spring clips. An IP67-rated build handles spray and routine washdowns, but it is not meant for underwater or other submersible installations.
Key features
- Warm white light (3000K) with a 90 degree beam for general downlighting and courtesy lighting
- Screw-mount installation with a removable bezel; mounting depth is 1.34 inches
- 3.50 inch round fixture size for common overhead panels and hardtop liners
- IP67 rating for wet areas and washdowns; not for submersible use
- Stainless steel construction with a titanium-coated trim bezel in a white finish
- Simple 2-wire hookup that works with existing wiring and an on/off switch; 2.5W draw per fixture
Installation and setup
Leave enough clearance behind the mounting surface for the 1.34 inch depth and for routing the two conductors without sharp bends. In wet overheads, use tinned marine wire and sealed connectors, then support the wiring so it cannot chafe under vibration.
After fastening the fixture, the bezel can be removed later for access, which is handy for refits where the headliner or overhead panel is difficult to pull down.
Where it works well on board
This style of downlight is commonly used under hardtops and arches, in cockpits, in pilot houses, and along walkways where you want warm-white illumination that feels comfortable at night. It is a good match for boats that need a shallow downlight and want to keep the existing switch circuit while upgrading to LED.
Care and cleaning
Rinse salt residue with fresh water and wipe with mild soap. Skip abrasive pads or aggressive solvents so the trim finish stays in good shape.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
