Overview

The Simrad 000-13921-001 is a thru-hull CHIRP transducer with a bronze housing, a 12° tilted element, a black 9-pin connector, and a 10 m (33 ft) cable.

It runs in the Medium CHIRP band from 95 to 155 kHz at 300 W and reports both depth and water temperature. With the 12° housing matched to your hull angle, the sonar beam stays aimed down where it should, which helps with bottom tracking and target separation while you are moving.

Maximum depth performance is rated to 183 m (600 ft), but real-world readings will vary with installation, speed, water conditions, and bottom type.

Key features
  • Medium CHIRP coverage from 95 to 155 kHz with 60 kHz of bandwidth from a single transducer
  • 300 W power rating for shallow to mid-depth fishing
  • 12° tilted element for hull deadrise angles from 8° to 15°
  • Bronze thru-hull housing intended for fiberglass or wood hulls, with a low-profile form below the waterline
  • Depth and fast-response water temperature sensing in one fitting
  • Medium-band beamwidth from 26° to 17° to help separate fish close to structure and in the water column
  • Black 9-pin connector and 10 m (33 ft) cable for compatible sonar ports
  • 51 mm (2 in) hole size and 66.5 mm usable shaft length to help plan inside-hull clearance
Compatibility and fit

This is a single-channel CHIRP transducer, so your display or sounder needs to support CHIRP and the Medium band to get the full benefit. The connection is a black 9-pin plug, so it is important to confirm your unit has a matching 9-pin transducer socket or that you have the correct adapter for your setup.

The 12° version is meant for boats with 8° to 15° of deadrise at the mounting point. It is commonly used on stepped, planing, and displacement hulls, and it is sized for vessels up to about 8 m (25 ft) in length.

Installation and setup

As a thru-hull, it mounts below the waterline and requires a clean spot that stays in solid water flow. Avoid locations behind strakes, through-hulls, or intakes that can feed the transducer aerated water, and check inside the bilge for access before drilling the 51 mm (2 in) hole.

Plan the cable run before final tightening so the connector can be routed without sharp bends. Leave a little service loop and secure the cable so it cannot chafe from vibration or slap in the bilge.

Use on board

This transducer makes sense for inshore, coastal, and freshwater fishing where you want coverage and clear returns without stepping up to a larger fairing-block install. It suits skippers who run at speed between spots and still want the bottom to stay readable on the way.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
