Overview

The Simrad 000-13782-001 is a 1 kW thru-hull CHIRP transducer with a 20° tilted element and a black 9-pin connector for xSonic sonar systems. It runs a high-frequency CHIRP band from 130 to 210 kHz and is built for wide-angle coverage when you want clear bottom detail and clean separation in shallower to mid-depth water.

The built-in 20° tilt is meant for hull sections with a deadrise around 20° to 24° at the mounting spot, helping the beam point closer to straight down once the housing sits flush to the hull. Bottom tracking is rated down to 1,000 ft (305 m), depending on water conditions and bottom type, and the transducer is commonly matched to boats up to 10 m (35 ft).

Physical size is 134 mm diameter by 118 mm height, and it weighs 2.7 kg (6 lb). A 10 m (33 ft) cable is attached, which gives you room to route cleanly from the bilge up to the display or sonar module without splices.

Key features
  • Thru-hull stainless steel housing with a 20° tilted element for hull deadrise around 20° to 24°
  • 1 kW, single-channel high CHIRP operation across 130 to 210 kHz
  • Wide-angle transducer style for broader coverage under the boat in coastal and near-offshore depths
  • Bottom detection rated down to 1,000 ft (305 m), depending on conditions
  • Black 9-pin xSonic connector with a 10 m (33 ft) attached cable
  • 134 mm diameter by 118 mm height footprint, 2.7 kg (6 lb) weight for planning bilge access and clearance
Compatibility and fit

This is a CHIRP transducer with a black 9-pin plug, so it needs a compatible Simrad sounder or multifunction display that accepts the xSonic 9-pin connector and supports high-frequency CHIRP. Confirm the connector type at your unit and make sure the sonar channel you plan to use is intended for a single-channel transducer in this frequency range.

The 20° tilt is the key fit check. Measure deadrise where the transducer will sit, not at the transom, and keep the install point in clean water flow. If the deadrise is outside the intended range, a different tilt angle is usually a better match than forcing this one to work.

Installation and setup

This is a thru-hull install, so plan for inside access to tighten the hardware and route the cable. Typical placement is near the centerline and forward of anything that aerates the water, while staying clear of strakes, steps, trailer bunks, lifting eyes, and other thru-hulls that can create turbulence.

For fiberglass or wood hulls, plan on a 95 mm (3-3/4 in) hull hole. For metal hulls, the stainless housing uses an isolation bushing and the hull hole is typically 105 mm (4-1/8 in). Dry-fit everything before sealant, and make sure the mating surfaces are clean so the seal stays watertight through vibration and temperature swings.

Electrical and sonar integration

Route the 10 m cable away from high-current wiring when possible and avoid tight bends or crushing it under panels. Leave a small service loop near the display or sonar module so the connector is not carrying strain. If you need an adapter for your specific sonar port, match it by connector type rather than trying to force-fit plugs.

Use on board

This transducer is a practical match for coastal fishing and near-offshore runs where you want detailed returns and wide coverage without hanging a large fairing block under the hull. It also suits crews that run at speed and still want a cleaner picture, as long as the install location stays in solid water.

Maintenance and care

Keep the face clean, especially in warm water where growth builds quickly. A light wipe with a plastic scraper or a soft pad is safer than aggressive sanding that can damage the acoustic surface. During haul-outs, check the external hardware for impact marks and confirm the internal nut and sealant line have not shifted.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
