Overview
The Simrad 000-12316-001 is a WR10 wireless autopilot remote and BT1 Bluetooth base station pack that lets you steer and manage a compatible autopilot from anywhere on board. The remote communicates over Bluetooth with up to 30 m (98 ft) range, while the BT1 base station plugs into an NMEA 2000 network using a Micro-C connector so there is no separate power feed to wire.
Five buttons cover the actions you use most: Standby, Engage, mode, and port or starboard course changes. Tap for 1° adjustments or hold for 10° changes, and use the mode key to switch between Auto and Wind on sailboats or Auto and NoDrift (COG) on powerboats. A multi-colour LED gives quick confirmation when commands are received and warns when the battery is getting low.
This setup suits skippers who move around during docking, fishing, or sail handling and still want direct control of the pilot without staying glued to the helm.
Key features
- Bluetooth link with up to 30 m (98 ft) working range for autopilot control around the boat
- Heading adjustments in 1° steps with a short press, or 10° steps with a long press
- Dedicated Standby and Engage buttons for quick changes between hand steering and autopilot control
- Mode key supports Auto and Wind switching for sailboats, and Auto and NoDrift (COG) switching for powerboats
- BT1 base station connects to the boat’s NMEA 2000 network via a Micro-C plug; no separate power supply is required
- Waterproof BT1 base station with deck or pole mounting options
- One BT1 base station can be paired with up to four WR10 remotes
- Multi-colour status LED for command acknowledgement and low battery indication
Installation and setup
Mount the BT1 base station where it can tie into the NMEA 2000 backbone and where its Bluetooth signal covers the areas you plan to use the remote. Plug the Micro-C connector into an available NMEA 2000 drop, then pair the WR10 remote to the base station. Once paired, the remote sends commands through the network, so you avoid running extra control wiring back to the helm.
Compatibility and fit
The WR10 system is for compatible Simrad autopilot installations that are on an NMEA 2000 network. Common matches include AC12, AC42, NAC-1, NAC-2, and NAC-3 autopilot computers. If your boat has multiple stations or you want more than one handheld on board, the same BT1 base station can support additional WR10 remotes.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
